Gas Plasmas have existed since the beginning of time - long before the advent of solids or liquids. In fact, 99% of the universe is plasma. When energy is applied to a solid, it becomes a liquid. Apply more energy to a liquid and it becomes a gas. If further energy is applied to a gas, it then becomes plasma. Gas Plasma consists of dissociated molecules, ions, free radicals, and elements of such entities at an elevated state of energy. When matter is described as above, it cannot be truly described as a gas, liquid or solid. It is therefore described as the “fourth state” of matter - plasma. Irving Langmuir was one of the first scientists to work with plasmas and the first to refer to it as "plasma" because of it's similarity to blood plasma.

What is Ultraviolet (UV) Light?

What is Cold Oxygen Plasma?

Cold Oxygen Plasma is a highly reactive chemical-free product of UVC energized air. It spreads evenly and quickly to destroy odors, bacteria, viruses, mold, mildew, and break down unwanted chemicals and compounds. Photoplasma can be found naturally and is often referred to as the “detergent” of the Earth’s atmosphere because of its ability to react with many harmful pollutants. What is Photocatalytic Oxidation?

PCO, is an advanced oxidation process that combines the power of UV light and a highly reactive metallic catalyst to accelerate photoreactions. In the PCO process, the UV light’s energy reacts with the catalyst to create an energy gap that is used to generate free radicals, including hydroxyl radicals. The radical species are highly reactive with organic compounds, and quickly and efficiently oxidize odors, bacteria, viruses, and harmful or unwanted chemicals.

Positive and Negative Ions

Positive and Negative Ions occur naturally in the air and are one of nature’s most efficient means of decreasing airborne contamination such as bacteria, viruses, and VOCs, and neutralizing odorous gases and aerosols. Ions are electrically charged particles that have either gained or lost electrons. Negatively charged ions have an excess of electrons which gives them a net negative electric charge. Is this an Ozone generator?
